MISD School Board Highlights Student Success Through Engage Mansfield ISD on Preparing Students for College, Career, and Life
MANSFIELD, TX — The Mansfield ISD School Board continues its commitment to transparency and community engagement with a new video released through Engage Mansfield ISD, featuring Trustee Dr. Jandel Crutchfield and the district’s focus on preparing students for success beyond graduation.
“In Mansfield ISD, we want every student to leave our district graduating college, career, and life ready,” said Dr. Crutchfield. “For the Class of 2025, 98 percent of our students are graduating college and career ready. But being life ready is just as important. We want students thriving beyond the letter grade once they leave our district.”
Dr. Crutchfield highlights MISD’s commitment to leadership development, social and emotional readiness, and student ownership of growth through personal scorecards that track skills, progress, and leadership development.
The video is part of the broader Engage Mansfield ISD initiative — a School Board-led effort to ensure the community understands how state-level decisions directly impact funding, mandates, accountability systems, and the programs that support student success.
“As a school board, we are largely responsible for the educational experiences for both students and employees,” said Board President Dr. Bonita Reed. “We hear you. We see you. You matter to us.”
Trustee Mrs. Courtney Lackey Wilson added, “Decisions that we make each and every day impact programs and teachers and students. That’s why we remain focused on advocating for what our students need to thrive.”
Through regular video updates, the MISD School Board will continue sharing insight into district priorities, student outcomes, and how legislative decisions shape the future of public education in Mansfield.
